Hi,
Manouvering astern to moor my prop hit a rock and the engine stopped. There's a bit the size of a 5p coin missing on a blade now. The guy who stands by to assist mooring said it just needed straightening up with a hammer. Is this OK and could the stern drive be damaged? Any recommendations on checks to do would be appreciated, I'm new to mbs but I like it.

Thanks in advance

Will

If manouevering on tick over, your drive shafts should be OK. The small dink, if you straighten the blade should cause you no problems. You can get props repaired (re-metalled) for about £50 - and they look like new.
