Could someone tell me if the marina in Dalaman ( Turkey ) is been build ?

Last year some of the bays in the Göcek area ware leased to restaurants, is this a form of privatisation of the bays and is it still possible to anchor for free in those bays ?

Dalaman marina not built.

Wasn't down Göcek last year so cannot answer except we would argue that it only extends to low water mark. On a related aspect a number of places will call themselves "private beaches" and try to charge. In fact all beaches in Turkey are public. They are perfectly entitled to charge for crossing private land to access and for the use of their equipment, sunbeds etc, and which could include the kedge line posts they have put up and possibly the trees tied to but not using the beach as we have successfully argued having come ashore.

We're in Skopea Limani as I type, anchored quite happily in the North West corner of Tomb Bay (or more accurately Siralibuk Koyu). We were in Wall Bay a couple of nights, and spent one on the jetty of the Wall Bay Restaurant when Craig Smith's invincible Rocna wasn't up to the sideways gusts we were subjected to (our two cruising mates with a CQR and a Delta were fine!). No issues at all. Other than the cold, it's been great. Mind you, we've always preferred the area out of season so to speak, so Summer maybe a different deal.

Thanks for replys.
Happy to hear that out of season anchoring for free in Skopea Limani is still possible.
We wintered in the Göcek / Fethiye bays for 10 years. From April on we moved North or to the Dodecanese.
I was wondering, now that some bays are privatized, is building in the once nature reserve going on ?
Out of season Skopea Limani is a beautiful sailing area, and I am astonished that in forums Turkey is apparently totally out. Fethiye used to have a real big liveaboard community. Before the build of the Marina some 20 boats ware been lived on.
Also the German website who is specialised in Turkish nautical news is now almost exclusively reporting Greek topics and destinations.

We was there last year , we found no problem anchoring any where . We used some of the restaurant pontoon to get water some morning buying a coffee or two and home made bread , never had a problem
