The boat has gone, the home is rented, the boxes are piling up and the one-way ticket to New Zealand has arrived, gulp! Most difficult, the 'last goodbyes' are now starting to happen as D-day looms.....

Not surprisngly been rather quiet on the forum of late (good, some might say) but once settled on the other side I'll report back on the new (sailing) experience, maybe even try my hand at a contribution to YM to help counter some of my own recent criticisms of their content!

Enjoy the last of the season and speak again soon.

<Good luck.>

And so say all of us . . .

I spent 18 months working in Perth, Australia a while back, and the sailing was fantastic. You'll love it I'm sure

Rob - While you are their loss, you will be our gain. So, from NZ, Welcome.

Looking forward to meeting, at last, a real live forumite when you visit Wellington.

Thanks John, I'm also very much looking forward to meeting you (and that fine-looking boat of yours)!

Let you know when I've landed - have a good week.

Fed up with visiting beautiful places on hols and thinking "why can't I live (and sail) here - other people do?" - so after being seduced by New Zealand earlier this year have packed up and leave for a new life (and job) in Auckland in Sep. 2003. ..I know that feeling .. I moved to the Highlands.. not quite such a major shift.. good luck and I hope all works out well..
