Cylinder Head Refurbishment

A friend, who is on a boat in Lagos, Portugal, has just had a major overheating problem on a VP2003. As well as some blackened green paint on the cylinder head, the result is a couple of leaky copper injector sleeves that appear to have distorted in the heat.

Anyone know of a decent (realistic price) mechanical engineer who could refurbish the head and press in new sleeves etc?

Plenty of good engineering places in Portimao, Get a locall yellow pages/talk to a reliable taxi driver who'll know where to get things done cheaply or find out where the local fishermen get their work done!
I'd avoid Sopramar or anything yachty based unless your friend has a bottomless wallet!

If Diesel-Electrica is still there, go and talk to Cesar (he speaks good English) I always had good service from them and they would be my first stop for anything injection related. Probably could recommend a mech to pull the head too.
