CYC regatta

Many thanks for the good wishes Bosun. The organisation has been very good so far, so I'm confident that it will continue. Some of the boats, including mine, will be doing their only races of the year so it won't be as serious as the CBYC series. Everyone is welcome, are you planning to come over?

Well I'm the OOD for the CYC regatta, and I had nothing to do with the boxing day event.

I'm not sure who was OOD for Boxing Day, but out of interest what would you say needed improving Bosun?

As Allan has said, a very warm welcome awaits anyone who'd like to join us.
 
My guess is that the guy who did the boxing day race doesnt normally do OOD duty and in any case I dont want to be in any way critical of someone who came out in his spare time to help run a race and probably near froze to death in the dinghy.

What a great weekend! Loads of boats racing in two great races. On Saturday we raced a perfect course down to Merkur, I came 4th and only missed 2nd by 22 seconds. The race in the bay, which I was dreading, was great fun on the best course I have raced. I may look into joining the CBYC races next week.
I was surprised with the number of visiting boats, there were over 20 and helped us fill the bar on Saturday night. I think we may have to take bookings next year like they do in Bristol!

I came up from barry yacht club with two other yachts, had a good weekend every one was very welcoming and helpfull thank you guys for a pleasant weekend.
