CYC quiz

The CYC final quiz happened last night and, despite our team with Matt, myself and Louise and Cardiff Cruiser being robbed of victory by some over zealous marking about how many yards were in a cable, our team won the series.

There is another person on this forum, of course, who took part. Suffice to say his team came came last again. This is despite knowing the exact date and time that Fergie and Prince Andrew got married, which is not something a rufty tufty sailing man should know, in my opinion.

I don't think anyone knew what a futtock was, mind......

Well done to you all, yes we came last again even with reinforcements (who were only there for the beer) it seemed, we wont begrudge you your win even though the marking left something to be desired, i draw your attention to the " Torry Canyon" question, we put" tanker" but the correct answer was of course "oil tanker" from then on we were as private Fraser used to say "Dooooomed" i am a bit worried about how i knew about Fergies wedding date. never mind Futtocks to the quiz. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Not my department Chris. I was ignored. Even when I said 82 000 for the capacity of Twickenham. They didn't even listen when I said Margaret Thatcher in answer to whose painting did Arthur Scargill take onto the desert island (disks).

I think it was Matt doing the marking.
