We are planing to self isolate on our boat. We should be 100% self sufficient and can carry 12 months of food, if we can get it. We would rather be on the boat than stuck in a two room flat.
Is there anyone here who can explain why every government thinks we can develop a vaccine for this RNA virus when no one has been able to do it for AIDS which is also an RNA virus?
I think a lot of the restrictions on activities is to keep the usual influx of A&E casualties to a minimum and reduce the pressure on the NHS and emergency services.
The usual load of road traffic accidents is going to be a huge drain on emergency services. Hence keep journeys to a minimum. And you don’t want to burden coast guards, RNLA, mountain rescue, etc, at this time either. So outdoor activities are also a no-no.
