Anyone know of a good supplier of cutlass bearings? Particularly if they have a web site I can order from.

I have seen on the web a tool that can be bought for quick replacement of cutlass bearings, any got one, tried one, etc. I am told that the shaft does not have to be removed using such a tool?

All information gratefully received,

Barry

We use a half round drift that fits the shaft but not the P brackets, then after removing the screw lugs drive out the bearing. Mind you our bearings are easy to get to, not sure about a single with the housing glassed in. Try Clements Marine for replacements 01234 378814. DO NOT fit the plastic types go for brass every time
