The Nylon insert on a cutlass bearing has slid back out of place leaving the brass tube in the p bracket, the bearings are 3 years old.
Never seen them do this, has anyone else had the same thing?
Are there any makes to avoid for this reason?

There are many variables with cutless bearings, use or lack of use, alignment, duty profile, silt in the water, shallow water operation, age etc .etc . A cutless bearing lasts from 1 to 7 years or 10 at a push, normally 3 to 5 before replacement is required.
