As this boat is going to go on a swing mooring we wanted and easy to put on and off cover. My Brother in Law and me came up with this. The key point being it can be secured at one location from the Tender

The ratchet strap will secure it well enough but I can see the sides flapping a lot in high wind; turnbuttons along the side would be a longer term prospect, or perhaps you could experiment with suction tile lifters. Do you really need a cover? I thought these were self draining.

Where we more it would be full of seagull shite in no time at all. A cover is essential. Initially we are going to put a single strap under the boat from one side to the other to stop the sides flapping. You other ideas seem a good idea also

Jack up your trailer so the boat rides level and see if any water pools during a rain storm…the weight of water can rip through any cover

That is what the ridge strap is for. It is designed so that this will not happen. It is going on the mooring this week

BP, ref your "snake" comment at 1:41, have you had success using toy snakes to deter seagulls? I've often heard of the idea but never tried it myself, so I'm interested to know how well it works.

Your boat cover would definitely benefit from a few darts in the material where it is baggy as this is where water will gather and soon form Pools.
How will you access the rachet strap under motor whilst on water? Maybe better to move to side of boat.
If you paid someone for making the cover they have not done you any favours

I bought 2 big rubber ones but have not tried them yet. It was watching Jim Davidson in the Aquaholic review that I picked this up. Worth a try I thought they were only a few quid on Amazon

Here is the review it is somewhere in this vid.
