Well we are off to the Channel Islands and the West Country via Honfleur {Le Havre} - St Vaast and Cherbourg in a couple of weeks :D

Can anyone please advise current fuel prices for the above marinas as we will require between 700 - 1200 litres between 2 boats for top up purposes.

Many Thanks in Advance

fuel

You can- or have to -order the tanker lorry at Honfleur ,I thought?
Not quite same location as we are round in Brittany, but everywhere is Eur 1.444 p/l.
Just as a point for others, the pumps are linked to credit card machines, and so not attented, round here. I can only assume that I am a terrible risk to MasterCard, as I can't buy much at a time. Anyway, if you think you may come across these machines, perhaps it is wise to check what your c/card company does on these types of transactions.

1.41 Euro per litre in Port Haliguen, Bay of Quiberon on Monday. If you are going to the CI you surely want to minimise the fuel you take in France as it should be around £0.70 or less in Guernsey? Not sure what your consumption is but it's only 40 miles or so from Cherbourg to Guernsey.

Have a great trip.

Richard.

Thanks for that - I know you can ask the marina office to override the credit card payment @ Cherbourg and just fill up as in the UK
Taking in account the current exchange rate there is not a lot different to the UK price if based on a 60/40 split

Thanks Richard - Dependent on final itinerary we will need a minimum 150 gallons for two boats inc 20% safety margin if we re-fuel in Cherbourg or St Vaast :encouragement:
