I've got those built in cup holers in the GRP on the flybridge and they are often full of water even when the flybridge cover is fitted.

Anyone modified them to have a drain fitted?

I just drilled a small hole in the base and it drains onto the cockpit floor. The only issue with this is if your beer/ coke spills over and it all becaomes very sticky where it drains to. Alternatively just get some flexi hose, glue it to the bottom and lead it to a draining area?

Would a hole tidy you have in a computer desk to put the cables through not fit into the cup holder and seal it off ? ....... Ive just measured one and its a perfect fit .

Hole tidy sounds like a good idea. I will look at work tomorrow!

I can't drill a hole in them as they are built in to the flybridge panel and it would drain onto the saloon roof. I am not too happy about sticking drain pipes in as it will never look like its meant to be there.....

Thank you both for your replies.
