I did a spot of night fishing this evening and came back with cod and chips twice, and some mushy peas.

By pure accident or inspiration, I had arranged my cod and chips with the mushy peas to starboard, and some tomato ketchup to port. Well I couldn't leave it there could I, so I got a dash of horse radish sauce and arranged it at the stern .

Voila... I give you ......Col. Regs. Cod.

I should be on telly with ideas like that...by the way, is it nearly spring yet? please say it is...please

Nidderdale, eh? Was that fish shop in Knaresborough but you put Nidderdale in your bio cos it doesn't sound so (Yorkshire-wise) posh?

Just to confuse, the post was written in Boston Lincs, and the fish/chip shop was the ever excellent Eagles, which has a good fish restaurant upstairs. I am now typing from way up the dale from Knaresborough, and to be truly posh I am in Upper Nidderdale, about 12 miles from Knaresborough. We tend to feel just a bit superior to those who live downstream. They do have to put up with all our effluent after all..:D:D

Goto Billy the Fish. Takeaway chippy. La Duquesa, Costa del Sol. Best cod n chips on this planet.

You wouldn't be the proprietor now would you ;)

As long as they aren't serving "Mersey Cod" ......:D and if you don't know, then you don't want to ask
