Culham Lock Damaged

Further to my piccies of Culham lock it appears that the lock gate has been damaged. Repairs cannot start until the level has dropped which the EA said on Tuesday maybe 2 weeks.

So anybody stuck above maybe there for a bit longer /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Also note if your driving about, that Clifton Hampden and Culham road bridges are closed. Some ignorant 4x4 and truck drivers were driving around the road closed signs and sending bow waves through front doors over the previously secure flood barriers /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Well it aint me. I don't like getting my nice new jeep wet by rain let alone driving it through floods.

As long as they don't start charging me Council Tax I might be able to put up with Abingdon for a while longer - maybe we will be able to get up to Oxford for a while.
