Just had 5 weeks on the Thames and enjoyed very much. Highlights were Marlow,Sonning (2 nice meals at the Great House restaurant) Goring ,Wallingford,Hurley ,Windsor,especially the bike rides round the Windsor Great Park .Disappointed with Henley,this was rip off Britain at its worst.Tried to get a mooring at Val Wyatt marina on the Monday after Regatta." Yes sir we have a mooring" " How much" ? " £50 for the night sir". So moved on ! Found people very friendly.

Have had a couple of really good meals when moored at The Great House, excellent food and service at a blimming good price.
Unlike the pub in village which was to put it bluntly ...overpriced and ordinary with very average service.
