I have been thinking of going over to Europe for some time now, and having just read the article in this months MBM, would be interested to know if anyone else plans to make a Holland trip over the summer. I would be leaving from the Crouch/Thames area- and having never crossed the channel before would be grateful of some advice or perhaps cruising accross in company.........

Any help or hints very welcome.

correct me if i'm wrong but the piccie of your boat was taken from the cockpit of a Nimbus - possibly a 3003 circa 1995 vintage. Am I right? And were those piccies taken when out in the Wash?

Going to Holland is very straight forward, from East coast, go to Visslingham (spelling) turn left in harbour to the lock follow everybody else to Middleburg but get to front, turn left again and go to second bridge on left where the HM is get a berth and enjoy.

I might be interested, what time of year do you want to go?
What sort of boat do you have, cruising speed etc.
I've done the channel a number of times now and keep my boat in the Medway. I cruise at around 15-16 knots.
