Last year we trailed our boat to The Netherlands, kept it all year in a Dutch marina and went back and forwards to the boat via cross channel ferry and car. I often wondered whether I should have lodged a Schengen form somewhere. Most weekends we were sailing around with a British Ensign on the stern and various crew on board, but were never stopped.
