I am looking for recent info on fees payable to visit the Galapagos islands briefly - less than 72 hrs - do park fees need to be paid?

Venezuela - how safe is it to visit Margarita, the Aves and Roches Archipelagos?

Thanks

venezuela is very safe. spent a lot of time there - Puerto de la Cruz left the boat for Angel falls visit by coach, lt aircraft and canoe. Aves beautiful - Los Roches also nice but a bit commercial and you have to pay - unless you keep moving on....

Galapagos you pay a boat entry visa of I think £30 or 40 - The park fees are £80 plus but you only need to pay that if you go into the parks.

You can stop at Christobel, Acadamy bay and Isabella for just the boat entry fee and go ashore in the towns - In Acadamy bay you can walk the beaches see the Darwin centre and all of that without paying the park fee. Isabella you can (cheaply) hire horses for the day and treck the island without paying the park fee.

Worth more that a few hours visit - lots to see and do with out park fee and a good place to re-stock before heading out to the Marquesas

If you are at all interested in wildlife and plan to spend a mere 72 hours there you'll be missing out on one of the greatest animal wonders about.............IMHO! Sorry can't offer boaty fee info but as tourist arriving by air the park fee was $100 in Oct 2002.
