Nice pics, lovely boat - I keep coveting her, but she won't fit on my mooring!

Not sure about Ezra being built in Shetland though - I though Luke Powell built her in Gweek see www.workingsail.co.uk. I could be wrong though!

May have got my twist in a knickers. Shetland was mentioned in the conversation, so it may be that she is a shetland design??

Frayed knot, she is based on a Cornish Pilot Cutter design.

Right, I've done my research now...


Ezra is a 44ft Scillonian pilot cutter replica, built by Working Sail at Gweek Quay Boatyard.

She is named after an early Scilly Isles pilot cutter.

She is registered in Lerwick, Shetland. (Why??)

Great pics. We were tacking up from Puilldobhrain to Appin last Sunday (24th) - saw a gaff rigged boat with tan sails also going north against the lowish F6, but probably wouldn't have been you.
