With a spring tide ebb and a fresh breeze from the SW it can get pretty bumpy...

Anyway it sounds like this chap has got plenty of experience of his own...but odd to ask the question in the 1st place.

You have a very good point here which I have not been considering.

We have actually been discussing a raise of the cockpit to make it self draining. But that means, that it should be raised at least 10 cm. That again means, that sitting in the cockpit will be very uncomfortable, so we would have to raise the benches also. There would be nothing back of the original cockpit and it would be a very big job.
