We saw a break in the weather yesterday so made a run for it :)

We had planned a 60 mile round trip. Leaving Galway and heading for Ashford Castle (Cong) on Lough Corrib for Lunch. But when we got a call from friends inviting us to a private harbour as they knew we were going to be on the water so arranged a reception for our arrival... hard to turn down!

Some random pics...

Not great quality, I forgot the proper camera :(

Wow, good going using the boat all year around! Nice scenery and a very nice sunset, it has that clear, chilly feel to it. How cold was it?

Great pics. Hope you didn't overindulge........

'Twas v nice on the South Coast today too. Sorry, no pics. It was calm and about 7degC with bright sunshine. A good day to do jobs on the boat!

Temp was about 6 deg I think, it was definitely cold! The heat was on :)

A few years ago this lake froze, the first time i'd ever seen it frozen in all my life. We had planned to do the 1-and-a-bit-mile walk around the island (it's a wonderful walk) but the pier was under the water :(
