Getting a bit ahead of ourselves but we're planning a Baltic trip in 2020. Wondered how they were about having a camper potty aboard instead of a holding tank. Not really wanting to fit one but will if needs must.

Also, for the canals do they want to see a gas cert? I fitted mine to comply with the regs but have never been certified.

Thanks

Matt

Many of the small yachts have the porta potty type and are OK as they have an internal tank.
You can't dump it over the side. If you're in the archipelagos there are islands with basic toilets, or you just stop and take a shovel ashore with you into the woods...

Not a problem with a porta potty as it can be emptied ashore.
I live and sail here in Sweden and have not heard of needing a certificate for gas on board.
