Perhaps, but a good webinar has a summary and does not ramble. I spent too long in my professional career honing briefings to a maximum of 30 mins.
If you don’t like it don’t watch it.
And as I suspect you are a UK resident with a UK based boat not planning extensive cruise (ie over 90 days) in EU / Schengen waters, you are not the target audience.
For people concerned about needing to pay VAT for a second time, or how to preserve their dream of an extended cruise in EU waters, I am sure they find it very useful.
And of course, all done by volunteer members giving up masses of their valuable time.

................ I would like to thank the CA for making webinars like this available to non members!

Yep, very good. Makes me think about joining.

Viewers might only want to listen to the first hour unless you are planning to import or export a boat and are particularly are interested in certification issues - a right bureaucratic dogs breakfast, with more than a hint of retrospection there.

The first hour supports some forecasts made on these pages, esp the possibility of further longer term visas becoming available in places like Greece. Plus the positive VAT news for people planning to repatriate their boats

I had to watch it to come to the conclusions that I came to. :)

Actually, I am the target audience! I retired early with a boat ready to cruise extensively in EU waters. While VAT is not an issue I have. Their explanation left me none the wiser, I will put a caveat in here - Mrs Sandy holds two professional accountancy institute memberships and says that even the experts struggle with VAT rules.

Finally, I also volunteer and give masses of my valuable time.

I thought about joining for ages but only got around to it a couple years ago and I have no qualms about wholeheartedly recommending membership to others. Communications are excellent, there are some very good discounts to be had (sometimes more than pays for annual membership fee) and as someone who is currently cruising away from home, berthing fee reductions abroad are particularly welcome - along with the knowledge that in the event of needing help or advice, there’s almost certainly a Port Rep’ not too far away. There’s also an excellent on line resource with member updates and inputs on harbours and anchorages all over the place.
