I've had an enquirey about who does the cruises on the Llangollen and Monmouthshire and Brecon canals in Wales. Will they be doing it in 2004 / 5?

Does anyone have any info on this?

Cheers

Peter

The 2 main booking agencies used to be Hoseason and Blakes, both undoubtedly with websites.
Find the name of the operating company in the area you want and book direct. It saves them around 20% commission and you may get some of it back.

Go for http://www.beaconparkboats.com/ - we had a fantastic holiday on a brand new boat last year, couldn't fault them, and the owner was very helpful. As it was my first time on a 50' narow boat I was expecting a few tips but as soon as he found out I had a boat he just cast us off with a wave! Well recommended, and it's a beatutful canal.

I'd rather be sailing... :-) /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Did this trip with Maestermyn Crusers some years ago now but having used many of the UK canal Hire fleets I have to say that this was one of the best both for scenery and the excellent condition of the boat. Even the bilge was dry which was more than can be said of the others. Enjoy
