Sunday morning another early start, we left a perfectly flat Solent behind and set a course to Swanage, again we managed to miss the rain, and by Swanage we were confident enough about not getting drenched to take the covers off, arriving at Weymouth to see this anchored outside the harbour

Unfortunately the weather had other ideas and reluctantly we came to the conclusion that we weren't going to be going any further. Still we had a nice trip up to Portland and there's a few more pics for those interested!

Is the last pic with the mobo still Portland Bill? If so, it shows how flat the recommended inshore passage is compared to the rest of the overfalls

Yeah thats still from Portland!

That was taken down the east side rather than at the tip where it was still pretty rough although as you say nothing like as bad as the race!
