Planning to cruise from The East Coast down to Portsmouth (Taking in the annual Calais Rally as well as other ports en route). Sadly my sailing buddy has injured himself and will be unable to join me ... Ideally looking for Male late 50's, 60's, with sailing experience, sense of humour, and can afford to contribute to beer & food kitty. Safety, whilst enjoying the company of those onboard is my prime concern, hoping everyone onboard will get along, laugh a lot, enjoy good sailing & good company.

As its an organised cruise social events will be taking place at the various ports en route.
THE PLAN
Thursday 27th or Friday 28th May Leave R Crouch For Calais
Tuesday 11th June Arr Portsmouth

For Tuesday 11th read Friday 11th!!

In between hope to visit Boulogne, Dieppe, Fecamp maybe Honfleur or Ouistreham etc.

There are at least another 3 maybe 4 boats on this 'rally' (maybe picking up one more boat midway through) and I think we are all reasonably pleasant folk to get on with!

Boulogne would be a better place to visit & much easier to get into + no locks no ferries to deal with

Boulogne is in the plan too but we have been mixing it with other Clubs in Calais over the Bank Holiday for about 15 years now.

BTW no lock in Calais - it broke in 2007 / 2008. It is a sill now under the road bridge.

http://www.rnsa.net/EastCoast/notices.aspx and look for Bassin Ouest
