Many years ago I bought a propellor from Crowther Marine in Oldham. It was for a Volvo MD11D in a Westerly Pentland. The guy who run Crowthers then said it was called a HE - High Efficiency model and he originally designed it for the British Waterways Board. It was an amazing prop but maybe too powerful for the engine. We could motor to windward at 5-6 knots in all kinds of sea states. Has anyone else had experience of these props as currently we are under propped and I am weighing up our options ?
Edit: any comments as to what harm we would do to our engine if we went for another one would he welcome.
