Crossing Foulness Sands

.

Yes that would be useful..
We were inbound and took the Northern route past the Swallowtail then crossed to the S of the Sunken Buxey. They were taken just after the N cardinal to the East of the Sunken Buxey heading towards Foulness.

I would have taken more except an engine conked out with fuel troubles!!! hence my entry on crash landings

I have a Team Surv data logger.
But I am certain I would not like to drive back and forth in Toma .... The rudders are very exposed and vulnerable..

From looking at the sands at low water.. it does seem that as long as you get over the "hump" you are clear to cross the rest... The spit does slope very gently from the land towards the NE so it is simplyn matter of trying and if it gets too shallow for your nerves, go a but further down then try again...

We might try it this weekend to go to Ramsgit...

I think the concerns were more about the wreckage than the depth. But if you do go and it doesn't breach your Team Surv agreement, I'd love to look at the data.
