We are crossing Biscay late March/early April 2005. Is there anyone else planning to go at the same time as we would really like to make the trip in company. We have a 32ft Westerly Fulmar based on the South coast (UK).

Thanks for reply - yes it took some phoning round to get the insurance - Admiral came up trumps, luckily my old policy was due for renewal anyway. We are based at Chichester, so probably will start from somewhere further west like Weymouth - we'll sit and wait for a weather window & depending on what comes either head for south Britany, or do the same as you - though try to get round Finistere in one go.

If you are interested in/able to depart earlier then keep in touch.

Thanks for reply, when are you planning on leaving ? We are based at Chichester and so will head further west - Weymouth probably - for our departure point - where we will wait for a weather window. What route do you normally take?

Thanks for reply - we are based at Chichester but will leave from further west - Weymouth/Plymouth - where we will wait for a weather window & head for south Britany to wait again, or directly round Finistere, depending on weather.
