To all who have been patiently waiting for them, see below the answer to my email, that I sent over 2 weeks ago, and rcd today:

GOOD MORNING STUART

HAVE E MAILED CROSBY ABOUT THIS TO SEE IF THEY CAN SEND THEM DIRECT TO YOU HOWEVER ACCORDING TO THEIR STOCK LIST THEY WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE NEW YEAR – WILL COME BACK TO YOU AS SOON AS I HAVE AN ANSWER

Skipper Stu - when you sent me one a while back, I mentioned that I could do with another.

Since then, however, I have managed to get hold of two which were ordered and sent on to me by my sister, who lives in America, so I won't need any more, unless, of course, you are already committed to an order and have paid on my behalf. In that case, of course, I shall be glad to pay you, unless someone else wants the item in question.

I would be grateful if you would indicate here if you need paying, as I don't log on often and can't guarantee that I would get a PM.

Many thanks for the first Crosby link. That has saved me a lot of money. :)

No probs, there is a small demand for them and will sell any surplus

Skipper Stu,
I would be interested in the "spare" link if for 8mm galvanised chain. Could you advise cost and note that I would need it by end of March as that is when we expect to leave for France.
If you wish to pm me with the cost I will provide delivery address and other details.

I was previously unaware of these Crosby links. I've tried to do a search going back in time on your posts and others but can't seem find the essential information (aside from the supply problems!). Would you be able to give us a brief overview of this product?

Although I've not got an anchor-windlass (yet), I'm down to 25m of 8mm chain and would like to add another 15-30m, but I've avoided doing so yet as I've previously been suspicious of anchor-links, having had the one I inherited with the boat corrode through.

Assuming they can be permamently fitted with confidence, I'd like to place an order for an 8mm link if any are available.
