Croatian Vignette + Soujourn Tax up until 01.07.2013

Has anyone renewed their Croatian Vignette this year and paid soujourn tax?

I'm wondering if the charge will be for a full year or pro-rata up to 01.07.2013.

If I were a betting man I could guess what the answer will be but it would be nice to know what to expect before going to the boat.
Theoretically, the vignette should not be necessary for EU-registered vessels, but the Sojourn tax should, but how they collect it is open for speculation. Perhaps everyone will have to declare in at the first port of entry as before to pay it.

When I asked the Umag harbour master about this last year he said the vignette cost would remain "Like in Greece".

Again theoretically, there should be total freedom of entry as there is for all other EU countries, including Croatia's neighbour and fellow ex-member of the Yugoslavian federation, Slovenia, where I often now cruise to without any official hindrance at all.

I certainly didn't get any truncation of my vignette last year - it is valid to the end of July, 2013.

I realised belatedly that you were referring to permanently berthed in Croatia as a non-Croatian-registered yacht while I was commenting from a visitor's viewpoint.

Your situation should be an indication of what the official intention will be as probably you will have to report earlier for payment. No doubt there will be confusion such as shown by the Umag HM who was ignorant of the true Greek circumstances.
