Hi,
So 9 of us, chartered a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 54 from Marina Kastela near Split, Croatia, 5 kids onboard, between 9 and 13.
Has anyone been to that area and got any suggestions for a rough 1 week itinerary (focused around the kids having the best time!) and/or places to go or avoid?
All very exciting!
Thanks in advance.

You're spoilt for choice. To entertain kids you could think about Skradin and Krka Falls, Bisevo and the Blue Grotto (this and Komiza was where the new Mama Mia movie was filmed last summer so if the girls will be seeing the new film they might love visiting the sets), WW2 submarine pen at Parja just west of Vis town (you can drive in with the dinghy and a torch), Korcula town in lovely, Hvar town is interesting and the boys will love the walk up to the Castle (Spanjola) and especially the dungeon. The medieval narrow streets of Trogir and Split and the fortifications are appealing but I think Korcula has the edge on both.

Agree with RichardS. Also would suggest anchoring at lunchtime in (wide choice of) small coves on eg southern side of Solta or Brac. islands . Overnight in anchorage at Tijat. Buoys in Primosten.

Avoids: Palmizana marina, truly awful. Didn't like Hvar either though it might appeal to some. Split town (but Marina Agana and Trogir both good).
