Crinan Canal any tips?

Transit 30th September.
5 staff on the whole canal.
I took my client's boat and two others from locks 12 to lock 5 with no assitance from the staff apart from opening the Cairnbaan bridge. We left lock 5 around noon. Held up at Oakfield bridge for 50 minutes. Then held up in lock 2 and the basin for well over an hour. The boats escaped from the sea lock at 4.30pm.
No traffic coming the other way so 4.5 hours from Cairnbaan to exiting the sea lock didn't amuse any of the skippers.

Don't expect to get a quick run through for the rest of the season.

We went through on our second transit a week ago. Canal still fully staffed. I can’t help but think you’re trying to drum up work by making up staff issues and shortages. Your blatant AI advert posted adds to this conclusion for me.

From what we saw, pilots are a problem rather than a solution for anyone not going solo.
