I need crew to help me take my 32'TSDY down to the Med.

Not planning on stopping in every town en route, but it should be an interesting trip.

I'll want a contribution towards food and fuel, and of course you'll have to pay for your own transport.

You'll need to have an ICC and if you can speak a little French that would be great.

I plan to leave Portsmouth at the start of July, and trip should take 2-3 weeks.

Any takers, please PM me. Apologies if I don't get back to you straight away.

Thanks.

Would expect to pay for food and drink but not fuel or canal/mooring costs. If you want the boat in the Med surely you should pay the cost of getting there!

if you expect your crew to hold quals the skipper should have and pay for fuel, do you need the crew to supply charts & spares as well?.

2 / 3 weeks wont allow much time to visit any town !!!

impractical is the correct name...No way can you do this in two-three weeks .Thats about 200 locks average half an hour per lock that is one week gone.Actually one lock took us three days in 2003.You are bound to have at least one canal operaters strike on your trip.

Some details on the boat would be useful, I agree with the others you should only expect them to chip in on the food and drink; after all you want to move the boat!

Seems ambitious to me. I crewed on a dutch barge delivery trip from Hull to northern France via Rotterdam and the canals. Hull to Rotterdam was on a cargo ship then it took 2 weeks just to get to France and we were going as fast as we could. Also agree with other posts, why does the crew need qualifications, and its ok to pay for food and own travel but paying for fuel as well seems a bit over the top.

My mate came upsteam from Med to Calais in 24ft yacht with 15hp outboard motor in exactly 4 weeks. I do not think the timescale is unreasonable.
