Back in the day, 1972 to be exact I procured my self a paid situation on a 20M British registered yacht based in Malta.
On arrival at the airport, I was stamped with the usual 3 months leave to land. The following day I was taken by the skipper to the long gone Customs Office on Manoel Island. The resident official drew a line through the stamp and annotated "Crew", no stamp, no signature.
The Skipper, wife and 2 children lived on a British registered yacht on the same Marina 365.
So, is it the case if one is crew on a Foreign registered boat/ship one is considered in transit thus not liable to 90 in 180?
Confused.
