Hi,

I have no experience in sailing but would really like to learn. Anyone sailing in the Med or Uk this year before september who would teach me the basics. I know its a long shot but worth a try!!

We might have a berth available for a couple of days in the last two weeks of August & early September (UK Thames Estuary / East Coast / Belgium).
Sailing out of Gillingham.

Won't be the most exciting offer you'll ever get, but PM if interested

Hi Tristan and welcome to the world of sailing. May I (quite seriously) suggest you sell your "car on the water" and buy yourself a good sailing dinghy. I bet you will have 10 times more fun and you will even end up a better seaman. And it will be a lot cheaper.

HI again,

Didn't think I'd get nearly as many replies. My 'car on water' is my labour of love which took nearly 6 solid weeks to bring up to my fastiduous standards of no less than perfect so I am not willing to sell it just yet! I am available until the end of September however I have a briefing on the 2nd of November to prepare me for my entry into the Navy on the 18th. I forgot to add I am only 17 but am very willing to learn. I do go dinghy sailing occasionly but would like to get into the yachting side as when I join the Navy I would like to get a yacht to use in my spare time. I do not mind paying for my keep aboard the boat or indeed flights if the trip started or ended (or both) abroad.

Boatings fun, but better with sun!!
