Having recently returned to the UK after 26 years, and having sold my pride and joy there, and with little prospect of being able to purchase a new boat in the forseable future, has any body in the Southampton neck of the woods got any use for a ex power instructor/ examiner to use as crew or as a teacher this summer.
No charge just want to add to my 70,000 + - and keep my hand in.
adobe.

No seriouly, there was a really long thread about how they all thought they could do with some extra instruction and if only there was someone who could come out with them and show them the rules of the road, how not to drive within 5 yards of another boat in an empty sea etc...

Probably.

It would be great to see you donate some time to setting up a stinkpot and raggie mutual appreciation society. From down in the back of my 31' sloop, I really have no understanding about what its like to be up in a flybridge. And I'm sure that a flybridge captain has no appreciation on the effect of his action of opening up just outside Portsmouth harbour, in the narrow small ships channel, after a tedious drag down from Port Solent.

Maybe you could organise swap days, so we can all become more sensitive and tolerant of each others use of the sea.
