Please read on for more about me...
Shift work means I can't commit to regular weekends afloat but I do have time off during the week and I'm determined to try and find opportunities to gain some sea miles this Summer.
I'd describe myself as an experienced and hard working crew member, still with lots to learn (haven't we all?). Currently studying for my day skipper theory with a view to taking the practical maybe the tail end of this year or early next.
Is there anyone out there based on the East or South coast, possibly retired and/or flexible about which days you go sailing, looking for company on some mid week or weekend trips, that might get some satisfaction from helping a very keen learner refine the skills necessary to one day be a confident and capable skipper in my own right? Any trip considered near or far the only constraining factor will be work.
A rolling shift pattern means I have two or three days off every three or four days and I can predict my availability weeks, even months in advance if you need to know.
For anyone planning a trip in September I have annual leave already booked and I'm available from the 10th through to the 23rd of that month, and willing to travel further afield to join a boat for an extended trip.
I have my own gear including life jacket, approx 2000 miles logged, Comp Crew and VHF tickets, tall ships ex watch leader, club racing including spinnaker work, cross channel, non smoker, 35 years old, easy to get on with, 20 minutes from Rye, 40 minutes from Dover and Medway, 1 hour from Ramsgate, Eastbourne and London, will travel further.
Thanks for reading this far
