Crew anyone?

They have e`d me back an entry number, but I`m not sure if I am entered, or not. They just quoted back the details I gave and gave me a number (127) does that sound right, or is there a more formal form to fill in online, before I am properly entered with a berth etc? Seems too easy? Anybody done the process recently? Thanks a bunch if someone can inform me if I`ve done enough to get a berth,do they post anything through the letterbox or what? Thanks in advance if anyone can reassure me (or otherwise). I would have thought they would be more formal as it involves free berthing, and a drink etc,and I *SO* don`t want to turn up on the day... and be fecked off!

There is an on-line entry form on their website (http://www.oostendevooranker.be/nl/pro/boat-form).
Alas, the website is only available in Dutch and French.
Maybe you could figure it out with the help of Google Translate.

If not, why not contact the organisers directly and ask them if there's anything more they need to do?
They're actually a quite helpful lot.

Hope you do manage to get in, but don't forget, there's going to be loads of people all coming to look at all the boats, including yours, and you. Best make sure all fenders and stringy bits are ship shape

I think I'll plan on attending in 2014. The boat is in a lot of bits at present so getting it altogether for a late April launch this year will be in the lap of the Gods. Looks like a great event though.

Re

"Oostende vor Anker there should be 1/2 a dozen boats going over "Roll-On""

Is there an arranged coming back en-mass & what speed do you need to keep up? (I'm hoping to buy a Cornish Crabber in Holland and bring back end of May/beginning June)

Hubert has e`d me saying,"thanks for your participation,is it possible to have a picture of your ship?" That sounds like a "yes",hip hip hooray! Thanks to ECF people for the advice, see you there, Jerry.
(unless they backtrack when they see she`s a glassfibre bermudan ;} )
Edit, I have looked at the entries and there are a couple of Ecumes de Mer,should be fine with a beaten up Hurley then.

We're planning to follow Sailorman over as he knows the way. When we overtake him I'll just use the Tom Tom

Rough Towers, then steer 130.
After 8-9 hours, aim for the tall appartment building.
When you can see the shore: left hand down a bit.
As you enter - first right.
Nav is a doodle.

PS: don't wait for sailorman, you'll be waiting a long time :p

One we done earlier

Straight rhum line & the actual course sailed to Oostende, no grand tours of the North Sea, just straight in like a rat up a drain pipe
