Crevice corrosion gets a vital piece of boat equipment, I felt it break!

It has served me well aboard for many a year. But today as I used it I actually felt it yield then break in two. As well as butchering many a baguette it has been lashed to a boathook and used to cut away pot ropes around the prop, ok and my own dinghy painter.

RIP

Most unfortunate, a sad loss.

Can I suggest Sir buys a secondhand Sabatier, which will last the distance. A quality implement if ever there was one.

Merry sir

I shall check Craigslist the morrow.

Mind you The search so far in Grenada has produced a willowy thing made for a tiny hand which just about manages to slice a soft loaf.

Suggest willow is not correct selection of material for cutting. Tool steel a more regular option.
Hope that helps.
