<span style="color:blue"> Some of you may remember a thread I started a few weeks ago about areplacing/repairing a broken footblock (turning block). The block was obsolete and Lewmar UK could nbot replace it.
However their Roland Whalley, was able to send me a diagram showing how it was assembled. He forwarded a copy of my needs to a supplier who may have had one in stock and agreed to supply a replacement sheave.
When it came to paying for the sheave, he decided that it was not worth the paperwork to charge and sent it to a crew member whao was joining me here in St Lucia, FOC.
Well done Lewmar and Roland Whalley. I never thought that Lewmar were a cheap supplier but when they provide such customer service, they are worth the extra.
Thanks to all who helped witrh this.
By the way, I also managed to get a replacement Lewmar block. Island Water World in St Lucia got it from their H.O. in Florida and sent it to their shop here.
