Is it me or is everyone staying in to save money....times are booming here but the yacht club is dead, no quizes or cruising section nights, no parties at friends etc.....have you noticed? seems to be the sailing crowd but our other mates still make the effort at least once a week.
Can't blame the clubs, last night at cyc (fireworks) was brilliant but very few who said they were going actually pitched up! I don't care but i know its affecting the YCs and bars/restaurants. I still think two glasses of wine in the club is cheaper than staying at home and more sociable.

Not sure there was space for many more people at CYC on Saturday evening, the bar and the balcony were packed!

And CYC has quiz nights, etc. We have a cruisers evening every Thursday - this Thursday we're having a Quiz night with tapas - you what to gather a team Csail?

The dinghy sailors meet every Wednesday, musicians night is Friday, there's often someting on a Saturday.

You need to stop staying at home!
