Was out last night working on stripping down a V8 I’ve just got hold of and was dealing with a rather stubborn flywheel nut.

Spanner and extension bar in use then ...... BAM – spanner slipped and 2” cut above my right eye, blood all over the place and resorted to spending the evening sitting down with a headache.

So what’s the story for the office this morning –

Tried to take a picture of John Prescott and he didn’t like it !

You was out last night and foiled the "Robbery of the Century" or you could teel'em you was out in the gararge doing "man" stuff and it was just a nick! Shrug it of with "Put a Bandaid on it and just carried on!"

Yeah! I know its running rough, but your lucky its running at all!!

oh and you should have used a t bar with 3ft 1"" gas pipe and cracked the nut , not your head .........

socket set didn't fit - if it had i would have used my extendable bar ;-) the only thing that fitted between the coupling and the fly was wasa ring spanner.

You're right about the sympathy keep getting loads of the young ladies at work comming up for a close look - I'm happy /forums/images/icons/cool.gif
 
Stories should always be credible. So! If asked say that you went to a convention of BSS Inspectors and suggested that the whole thing is rubbish and only an 'earner' for them.
Alternatively you were parachuted into Iraq and fought your way past the Guard and found he was at the Pictures so you had to fight your way back out again then hitch hike back to the UK.

all that and only a scratch :-)

PS - I'll have some logs if they are going - seriously - I was out collecting some yesterday and could do with some more for winter - can't beat a realy fire
