Any thoughts on the cause of some quite extensive staining and crazing on a 14 year old boat. The crazing is on the roof edge and in the rain channels. The staining effect is in swirl like patches mostly in the non slip areas some of which link to the crazing. The roof is most affected but the decks also are bad in places. The crazing is much finer than the starburst impact/stress cracking I've come across. Thinking this might be due to bad cleaning? Any ideas on what the remedy might be? Thanks.

I'd try oxalic acid, and then give the area a good brush with Cif. Then see how it looks. Unfortunately without pics we are sort of guessing.

Sorry, it's late so just a cursory glance, but I can't see too much crazing. I see some scratches and swirling, possibly from not using the right cleaner/polish/applicator. However I think this should all cut out, polish and wax, and look good again without too much investment.

Taking a closer look in one of the pics it looks like gelcoat that has crazed due to the sun. Only recourse is to have a GRP man repair it but would not be cheap. Not structural though.

Thanks for the comments. The non skid looks to be part of the original manufacture (Princess). I've added some more close up images that might help - the staining extends from the roof onto the fore/side decks.
