Phew - glad the Dateslip things been sorted at last!

I have a query - my boat doesn't have a crashbar in front of the cooker. This seems like a pretty good idea but I haven't seen any for sale in the chandlers. Is this something that you can buy (I take it the cookers are a standard size) or are you meant to make your own from a towel rail or something?

Thanks

Go and fing Stainless Sam and get one made up with a flange on each end to attach.

Mine has a small curve in it which I tried to straighten. Having failed in the attempt I felt sorry for whoever was thrown against it!

You'll have to have one made by your local SS fabricator, unless you can use a standard ss hand rail - as long as it will fit. Don't use a towel rail - they are not very strong!

I'd rather be sailing...

Good point, and...

When getting it made, ask the guy to weld an eye on each eand of the bar so you can clip a bum strap on.

Thanks - Stainless Sam? Is this a company specialising in stainless steel products? Would you have some contact details?
