Talk to Bernard at Castelsarrasin - or better, his son Christophe who speaks English. 06 23 84 56 89
They have a crane and a low-loader.

The yard itself has been improved greatly in the last 2 years, now with much better yard area and facilities.
If Bernard/Christophe cannot help directly, they will possibly know those who can.
Another alternative would be the hire base fixed cranes at Homps and Argens-Minervois.
The news group Can2mers would also be a good place to ask the question - can2mers@yahoogroups.com - I'm not sure of the joining procedure.
As would Mike Ricketts who runs the Minervois base at Meilhan - kinsarvik@yahoo.co.uk - wide knowledge

And . . Good Luck . . sounds a bit serious?

Currently in Carcasonne. Does anyone know of a reliable crane or boatlifter somewhere on the Canal that is capable of lifting my Westerly ( 9.8 metres) and ( 4.5tonnes) on to a low-loader? Upstream or downstream....

We were exactly where you are a couple years ago with our 32ft ketch. We’d been advised that there was insufficient depth to continue (we draw 1.47m). We went through the process that you’re going through of trying to find transport, and I phoned around a number of providers. The best I found was a company with a hi-ab, but they were unable to do it in the timeframe we needed. In the end we decided to press on, and going south it did get better and we made it to the Med!
