Hi to all,

A very good friend of mine is looking at a 2000 Cranchi Aquamarina 31 with twin KAD43, so he asked my opinion for it. Eventhough I am a Cranchi lover in general, and knew this model existed, I have no idea about the aquamarina, so it's up to you guys to give me some hints.

Primarily, how does it sail? Will it swim in a F3 or F4 in the Aegean sea?

What about quality, possible points to be carefull?

Any other info would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Nick

Had one with ad41s. Really happy with it. Did Weymouth to Portsmouth with a f8 behind me. Also crossed Lyme bay with f4 on the nose. Bit uncomfortable but nothing broke. Canopy a bit fiddly to erect as no radar arch if I remember.

Hello to all,

Thank you for your comments!

Ian can you please give me more info, like fuel consumption, cruise speed and WOT, seakeepiness and generally any other info would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Morning.

I love the boat she handles in the chop real good even considering my trim tabs are currently out of action. the volvo AD41 lumps i think are quite adequate giving good performance along with good fuel burn. Im running J8 props and have seen WOT speed of 43.7mph medium loaded that I'm very happy with. I generally cruise at 3000rpm giving a speed of 25-26mph and this being extremely eco on fuel but I'm unsure of excact figures on that. The rear layout could benefit from a walk through so you don't have to climb over the sun lounger and the covers a bit of a pig to put up at times. They are a very sturdy well built boat and holds heat in very well even in our cold UK winters.. I don't think you would be disappointed buying one.

all the best Ian
