if you were selling your vessel and a purchaser wanted to sea trial it, expecting you to pay the haulin/out costs ...
what if they don't like it and pull out? you've spent a few hundred with no gain ...
multiply that by 10 (ten purchasers don't like the handling) ... and you're in for the tune of a few grand ... OUCH!
If you are serious about the boat you will suffer the cost of haul in/out and survey ... you might even get the whole lot back with a low enough offer on the price...
Think it would be good if the UK adopted base Oz principals on boat sales.
If the buyer buys, the vendor usually pays survey and slip costs.
If the buyer declines after requiring such, then he pays.
Cheers

Naaaah! Much better if I buy I pay slip and survey cost. Vendor can then pay me the purchase price and give me the boat. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Anyone out there selling a boat that agrees please give me 1st refusal. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif (Cost of survey readily available)
