Craighouse moorings not around

As title says , probably doom bug related, just in case yer planning a visit.

Not been there for a while, although the ground tackle is still there (unmarked), so be careful where you anchor.

spent a night listening to our anchor rubbing against the ground tackle. sll pretty shallow and sandy, easy to anchor around about

With so many other (and better) options in the vicinity, why stop at Craighouse? They obviously don't want unclean outsiders there.

Used to be one of our favorite weekend destinations.

They are not unfriendly - pub/hotel good as ever, and anchoring not hard.

Used to be one of our favorite weekend destinations.

We decided to continue south to Port Helen , great showers , as we had good winds. It seemed strange sticking our nose into Craighouse and not seeing a field of moorings.

We contacted the Jura Development Trust last week to check and had a prompt reply saying that the moorings had been lifted for essential maintenance and they were waiting for the contractor to re-lay them.
