Just had a most baffling E mail from the insurers of my boat.Claim policy has lapsed due to lack of payment.Curious as my credit card is still valid and the card company can find no problem with payment.
Anybody else had this problem.

Phone call to Craftinsure and am given info that my card is not longer valid.
the card was renewed with different number months ago.Never occurred that insurance premium would not get through to them.
Just happened to notice in among 20 odd crap Emails for chemicals/free money insurers E mail cancelling the boat ins as from immediate.Surely a bit of warning was in order.What about back up via snail mail,who checks card statements,the wife of course and doubt she would have spotted the absence of payment for months.

My debit card changed a few months back. Renewed, with exactly same number, but different start and expiry date. Most places just coped eg Amazon.

Not the London Congestion Charge people who refused to take my card.Seems their system could not cope with the concept of cards being renewed, and as their system had my expiry date on it, my new one could not be valid. Doh!
